PART ONE OF JAPAN MINISTRY OUTREACH REPORT: 2018
VOL 55 No. 6

What a great joy to return to Japan after two years to see what God has been doing through the Holy Spirit and the wonderful faithful labor of the pastors and workers.

It is said that one picture is worth 5,000 words. We will need 3 reports to share a little of the wonderful ministry we have had.

We have been returning for ministry, crusades and church planting since 1971 to Japan. We believe that this mission has been the best of all times we have ministered there.

In this Part One we are sharing some of the Work of God in Sumoto, Awaji Isand with our good friends, Jim and Darla Snipe.
(You can read Japan Ministry Outreach Part Two and Part Three here.)

They were members of Marge’s brother, Pastor Bill Kryzanowski’s Church in the town where Marge’s mother was born. Andrew, Alberta, Canada. We became friends around 1985 with them.

It was in 1989 that they became missionaries in photo #1. In photo #2 left, here they are with their 2 sons Shane and Jay in their mansion as it is what the Japanese call the very tiny 1 or 2 room apartments.

Photo #3 is when we first returned to Japan after 25 years and began to help with church plants in ministry and crusades.

Photo #4 after helping officiate in the wedding, I am now praying at the reception for Shane and his bride Hiromi, November, 1996.

God opened this great building site in photo #5 for the Sumoto Chapel Ground Breaking Ceremony, Oct. 13, 2007 in photo #6.

We led the groundbreaking service for Missionaries Jim and Darla Snipe. It took place on the Island of Awaji, in the city of Sumoto.

The groundbreaking was for the building of a new church, kindergarten and parsonage.

Photo #7, we did the dedication ceremony April 5, 2008.

Photos #8 and #9 we are dedicating the parsonage on Dec. 13, 2009.

Photos #10 and #11 Marge is singing and me ministering with Darla interpreting April, 2019.

Photo #12 is the back view of the church and parsonage on a rise of the hill.

Part II Below

Photo #1 left was the great crowd that filled the church and is still the goal of Jim and Darla Snipe to see very soon every service filled like this.

Photo #2 Darla interprets Marge as she shares the Word.

Photo #3 Jim and Tony forever friends and fellow workers for years.
It was Cherry Blossom time in Japan and flowers were blooming as you see Marge enjoying

Photo #4 and #5. Awaji Island is Japan’s Onion Capital. You can smell the onions everywhere doing the harvest,

Photos #6 and #7 below are the past 10 years or so the Snipes have had a preschool ministry.

Here Darla is with some of the mothers in photo #8 and with some of the children in photo #9 and #10 she is teaching and working with. They do love Darla very much.

Of course Jim Snipe is always ready to blow his shofar in any special meeting calling the people to praise, worship and pray in Photo #11.

In Photo #12 Marge is standing with one of the farmers they are working with.

In Photo #13 right, Marge is standing with the son of Ishi sensei who Marge held as a baby years ago when we ordained Ishi sensei to the ministry. He is pastoring a new church plant in Osaka.

Here is he with his family in photo #14 (below right) visiting us and having lunch with us at the Snipe’s home.

They are given to hospitality as you can see in #15, #16 and #17.

Would you stand in faith with us and Jim and Darla Snipe, that God would give them the whole Island of Awaji for Christ.

In our next two Japanese reports, we will share where great moves are taking place. Let us all stand in faith with them, to give them not only the city of Sumoto but the whole island. With God all things are possible.

(You can read Japan Ministry Outreach Part Two and Part Three here.)

As you can see, we give God all the Glory and Praise!

God Bless You and Yours is our Daily Prayer!

Your missionaries to the world,
Tony and Marge Abram
