Abundant Life Crusades |

I have started many ?Good News? reports, telling how we traveled to the mission field to where we were going. However, this was an incredible trip. We ended our crusade on a Sunday night in Rio Negro, Argentina. We went from the crusade to the bus station, where we traveled over night by bus to Mendoza. We then flew to Santiago, Chile where we spent the rest of the day at the airport. |
That night we flew all night to the USA where we spent the day and had a night?s sleep in a bed. The next day we packed and I traveled two hours by car and then flew all night to Frankfurt, Germany where Brother Walter was waiting. We flew together to Kiev, Ukraine where we went through customs and managed to catch an afternoon flight to Simferopol, Crimea. |
Then we traveled 2 hours more by car. Our driver, (whom I think is the most dangerous driver we have ridden with) drove us to the apartment that was used by our teachers who came from abroad. However, the fridge and hot water heater broke down the day after we arrived. We thank God for His grace and strength. In four days we only had one night in a bed. In the next four days I taught 4 - one and a half hours sessions in the leader?s training school and preached to them two more times before we graduated the 68 students who passed the course. |
We also held 2 church planting crusades simultaneously day and evening. We would conduct one meeting; win many souls, praying for the sick, with God healing many. We then would travel by car to the other crusade town and do the same there, with God confirming His Word. In between, we counseled ministers After the last Sunday crusade service, we rushed to the train station about 2 hours away (same driver) to catch the overnight train to Kharkov. I arrived with only about 20 minutes sleep. |
I had heard of a bucking bronco horse but the train could be called a ?bucking bronco train.? This means, in an 8-day period, we only slept in a bed 4 nights. You see now, why we ask you to pray for us. We are often asked, ?When are you going to slow down or retire?? It seems we are busier than ever. We are receiving more requests than ever from all over the world with the ?Macedonian Call,?- Come over and help us. We do want to stay busy until Jesus returns. When I lift up my eyes, I see the fields that are ripe unto harvest. I then pray for God to send forth workers and it seems I hear God saying, ?Go Ye!? That is why we are training workers, trying to duplicate our ministry in others, in addition to winning souls through crusades and other outreaches. It was great meeting up with Walter Zygarewicz of ?Global Vision,? Mike Brandebura, Bishop of Slavic Churches in Canada and Darrell Peregrym, pastor from Langley, B.C., Canada. We had a great time of fellowship and ministry with them. Mike had a miracle happen to him. Their driver wanted them to see a view. |
While Darrell and the driver were looking the other way, Mike walked toward the cliff to take a picture and disappeared. He had slipped and rolled down off the cliff about 33 feet (10 meters) to the rocks below. They did not realize what had happened and then began to look for him. They heard a voice crying for help and found him lying in the only tiny area not covered with rocks. He was cut and bruised all over with one cut, which required stitches. It took over 2 hours to get him out and a couple of hours more to the hospital. The doctors could not believe that he was alive. They said it was a miracle! Not one broken bone. The next day he was back in Krasnoperekopsk but did not attend the graduation. They put a green anti-biotic all over his cuts and scratches. He did not want to come looking like a leopard. He is a great brother and the students and people love him. Mike has done a good work in the former USSR.
Walter Zygarewicz was superb as usual. It was Darrell Peregrym?s first trip to Ukraine. He was received well; helping us with our two new church plants and was a blessing in the school. This makes a total of 64 church plants Marge and I have personally planted in the former USSR. We also agreed to buy 16 buildings for churches in Ukraine; making a total of 86 buildings our ministry has purchased in the former USSR and have given them to local churches. We will report more on this in next month?s ?Good News.?

We had a wonderful school. All the teachers who came and shared from Canada, USA, England and Bahamas were a blessing to the students. Marge was in Ukraine with Brother and Sister Clark of Seattle to teach in our school while I did the India ministry. We then met up again and went together to Argentina for our crusades and seminars there. She was loved by the students as were the Clarks and all were a blessing. We believe a great harvest will be the result of this the 13th Basic Bible Training School. Please remember to pray for the 14th School that will begin in January of 2006, that God will once again give us potential leaders He desires trained for ministry.
We planted two churches in the town of Privetnoye and Starvy Kraim. We also preached in churches in the South, East and Central part of Ukraine with God giving many souls everywhere. In Kharkov a good number of souls come to Christ and many testimonies of healing also. We had a wonderful meeting in the city of Cherkassy where Bogdan?s uncle is pastor. Bogdan, a young man of 21, was our interpreter at the school for 3 months and was one of the best we ever had. He had been living in USA for the past 6 years. When he interpreted for me in a large seminar of 4,000 Slavic people in Sacramento, I felt God?s leading to ask him publicly to come to the school for 3 months to translate. He agreed immediately and his local church paid his fare. |

We saw many saved and healed in a packed out church of the 600-seat building. Our last meeting was in a suburb of Kiev, where we helped with another church plant. In next month?s report, we will be reporting more on the 16 buildings we purchased by faith, the two new church plants and the additional 20 workers we are assisting, making a total of 60 workers we are helping carry on their ministries in the former USSR. God bless you and yours is our daily prayer. Pray for us!
