ACTIVITIES OF THE ANGELS

Heb 1:14 Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them
who shall be heirs of salvation? .
I. THEY WORSHIP GOD Isaiah 6:3 And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the
LORD of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory.
Rev 4:8 And the four beasts had each of them six wings about him; and they were
full of eyes within: and they rest not day and night, saying, Holy, holy, holy,
Lord God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come. Rev 19:4 And the four and twenty elders and the four beasts fell down and
worshipped God that sat on the throne, saying, Amen; Alleluia. .
1 King 22:19 And he said, Hear thou therefore the word of the LORD: I saw the
LORD sitting on his throne, and all the host of heaven standing by him on his
right hand and on his left. . Psalms 29:1 Give unto the LORD, O ye mighty, give unto the LORD glory and
strength. Psalms 29:2 Give unto the LORD the glory due unto his name; worship the LORD in
the beauty of holiness. .
Neh 9:6 Thou, even thou, art LORD alone; thou hast made heaven, the heaven of
heavens, with all their host, the earth, and all things that are therein, the
seas, and all that is herein, and thou preservest them all; and the host of
heaven worshippeth thee. .
A. Of course they worship Jesus.
Heb 1:6 And again, when he bringeth in the first begotten into the world, he
saith, And let all the angels of God worship him. .
II. THEY OBSERVE THE PEOPLE OF GOD
Luke 12:8 Also I say unto you, Whosoever shall confess me before men, him
shall the Son of man also confess before the angels of God: Luke 12:9 But he
that denieth me before men shall be denied before the angels of God. .
Luke 15:10 Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels
of God over one sinner that repenteth. .
1 Cor 4:9 For I think that God hath set forth us the apostles last, as it were
appointed to death: for we are made a spectacle unto the world, and to angels, and to men. .
1 Tim 5:21 I charge thee before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, and the elect
angels, that thou observe these things without preferring one before another,
doing nothing by partiality.
1 Pet 1:12 Unto whom it was revealed, that not unto themselves, but unto us they
did minister the things, which are now reported unto you by them that have
preached the gospel unto you with the Holy Ghost sent down from heaven; which
things the angels desire to look into.
III. THEY INQUIRE INTO THE PROPHETICAL PLAN OF GOD.
Daniel 12:5 Then I Daniel looked, and, behold, there stood other two, the
one on this side of the bank of the river, and the other on that side of the
bank of the river. Daniel 12:6 And one said to the man clothed in linen, which
was upon the waters of the river, How long shall it be to the end of these
wonders?
IV. THEY PERFORM THE WILL OF GOD Psalms 104:4 Who maketh his angels spirits; his ministers a flaming fire:
Psalms 104:5 Who laid the foundations of the earth, that it should not be
removed for ever. .
Daniel 7:10 A fiery stream issued and came forth from before him: thousand
thousands ministered unto him, and ten thousand times ten thousand stood before
him: the judgment was set, and the books were opened. .
1 Pet 3:22 Who is gone into heaven, and is on the right hand of God; angels and
authorities and powers being made subject unto him. .
V. THEY WITNESS THE WRATH OF GOD
Rev 14:10 The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is
poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be
tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the
presence of the Lamb:
VI. THEY REJOICE IN GOD'S WORK OF CREATION
Job 38:7 When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God
shouted for joy? .
Rev 4:11 Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for
thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created. .

VII. THEY REJOICE IN GOD'S WORK OF REDEMPTION 1 Tim 3:16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God
was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached
unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory. .
Rev 5:11 And I beheld, and I heard the voice of many angels round about the
throne and the beasts and the elders: and the number of them was ten thousand
times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands; Rev 5:12 Saying with a loud
voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and
wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing. .
Luke 15:7 I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner
that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no
repentance. .
Luke 15:10 Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels

A. Our personal guardian angel.
Isaiah 63:9 In all their affliction he was afflicted, and the angel of his
presence saved them: in his love and in his pity he redeemed them; and he bare
them, and carried them all the days of old. .
VIII. WE DO NOT WORSHIP ANGELS!
Col 2:18 Let no man beguile you of your reward in a voluntary humility and
worshipping of angels, intruding into those things which he hath not seen,
vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind,
Rev 19:10 And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou
do it not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony
of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy. .
Rev 22:8 And I John saw these things, and heard them. And when I had heard and
seen, I fell down to worship before the feet of the angel which shewed me these
things. 9 Then saith he unto me, See thou do it not: for I am thy fellowservant,
and of thy brethren the prophets, and of them which keep the sayings of this
book: worship God. .
IX. ANGELS DO NOT MARRY. Matt 22:30 For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in
marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven.
Mark 12:25 For when they shall rise from the dead, they neither marry, nor are
given in marriage; but are as the angels, which are in heaven. .
Luke 20:35 But they which shall be accounted worthy to obtain that world, and
the resurrection from the dead, neither marry, nor are given in marriage:
X. ANGELS OBEY GOD'S WORD.
Psalms 103:20 Bless the LORD, ye his angels, that excel in strength, that do his
commandments, hearkening unto the voice of his word. .
XI. ANGELS ARE ALL AROUND JESUS/
1 Pet 3:22 Who is gone into heaven, and is on the right hand of God; angels and
authorities and powers being made subject unto him. .
XII. THERE ARE FALLEN ANGELS.
Jude 1:6 And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own
habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the
judgment of the great day. .
XIII. THERE ARE MANY ANGELS.
Psalms 68:17 The chariots of God are twenty thousand, even thousands of angels:
the Lord is among them, as in Sinai, in the holy place. .
Heb 12:22 But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God,
the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels,.
Jude 1:14 And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying,
Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints,
XIV. THERE ARE ANGELS OF THE CHURCHES.
Rev 1:20 The mystery of the seven stars which thou sawest in my right hand, and
the seven golden candlesticks. the seven stars are the angels of the seven
churches: and the seven candlesticks which thou sawest are the seven churches. .
Rev 2:1 Unto the angel of the church of Ephesus write; These things saith he
that holdeth the seven stars in his right hand, who walketh in the midst of the
seven golden candlesticks; Rev 2:8 And unto the angel of the church in Smyrna write; These things saith the
first and the last, which was dead, and is alive;
Rev 2:12 And to the angel of the church in Pergamos write; These things saith he
which hath the sharp sword with two edges;
Rev 2:18 And unto the angel of the church in Thyatira write; These things saith
the Son of God, who hath his eyes like unto a flame of fire, and his feet are
like fine brass;
Rev 3:1 And unto the angel of the church in Sardis write; These things saith he
that hath the seven Spirits of God, and the seven stars; I know thy works, that
thou hast a name that thou livest, and art dead. .
Rev 3:7 And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write; These things saith
he that is holy, he that is true, he that hath the key of David, he that openeth,
and no man shutteth; and shutteth, and no man openeth;
Rev 3:14 And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things
saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of
God;
XV. ANGELS ARE CALLED AND ARE:
- A CELESTIAL SPIRIT . Called ANGEL OF THE LORD . Called MORNING STARS . Hosts . Called PRINCIPALITIES, POWERS . Created . Of different orders . Immortal . Worship God . Not to be worshiped . Do not marry . Are obedient . Have knowledge of, and interest in, earthly affairs
XVI. SOME CHARACTERISTICS AND FUNCTIONS OF ANGELS:
. Are examples of meekness . Are wise . Mighty . Holy . Elect . Innumerable . Guard the way to the tree of life . Law given by . Medium of revelation to prophets . Remonstrates with Balaam . Announces the birth of Samson . Announces the birth of John the Baptist . Announces the birth of Jesus . Warns Joseph to escape to Egypt . Ministers to Jesus after the temptation . Ministers to Jesus during his passion . Present at the tomb of Jesus . Present at the ascension . Will be with Christ at his second coming . Will be with Christ at the judgment - MINISTRANT TO THE RIGHTEOUS - EXECUTE JUDGMENTS UPON THE WICKED

At the tomb of Jesus . At the ascension . To Peter and John, while in prison . To Philip . To Cornelius, in a dream . To Peter, in prison . To Paul, on the way to Damascus . To John, on the island of Patmos
CONCLUSION: Angels will be there on that last day when every knee will
bow and every tongue shall confess that Jesus Christ is Lord!
