THE HARVEST IS RIPE
AND READY!
In this sermon outline we share the importance of the harvest and the
need for all of the church to be involved in the harvest of these last
days. God's Word emphasizes it strongly.
Gen 8:20 And Noah builded an altar unto the LORD; and took of every
clean beast, and of every clean fowl, and offered burnt offerings on the
altar. Gen 8:21 And the LORD smelled a sweet savour; and the LORD said
in his heart, I will not again curse the ground any more for man's sake;
for the imagination of man's heart is evil from his youth; neither will
I again smite any more every thing living, as I have done. Gen 8:22
While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and
summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease. (KJV.
I. NOW IS THE TIME OF HARVEST!
A. I HAD A VISION IN DEC 31 1961 IN PITTSBURGH OF THE LAST DAY HARVEST
WHEN ALL THE CHURCH WOULD JOIN THE MINISTERS OF THE GOSPEL TO HAVEST THE
LAST HARVEST OF THE WORLD.
1. Charles Price was an evangelist in North America during the
1920s and 1930s. He traveled to many places and each time filled
stadiums with thousands of people, and many spectacular miracles
occurred. DR PRICE ON HIS DEATH BED SAID THAT BEFORE THE RETURN OF THE
LORD THERE WOULD BE A GREAT LAST DAY HARVEST WHEN THE LORD WOULD USE THE
WHOLE CHURCH IN THE WORK OF SOULWINNING.
- John 4:35 Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh
Harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look
on the fields; for they are white already to harvest. (KJV).
II. JESUS SAID THE HARVEST IS GREAT.
- Luke 10:2 Therefore said he unto them, The harvest truly is great, but
the labourers are few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the
harvest, that he would send forth labourers into his harvest.
A. If the harvest was great in the days of Jesus on earth, how much
greater the harvest is today with over 6 Billion souls on this earth.
III. WHAT CAN BE THE SADDEST VERSE IN SCRIPTURE IS:
- Jer 8:20 The harvest is past, the summer is ended, and we are not
saved. (KJV).
A. We as children of God do not want to stand before the Lord without
doing what He said to do.
IV. WHAT IS THERE TO DO?
- Rev 14:12 Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep
the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus. Rev 14:13 And I heard a
voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die
in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest
from their labours; and their works do follow them. Rev 14:14 And I
looked, and behold a white cloud, and upon the cloud one sat like unto
the Son of man, having on his head a golden crown, and in his hand a
sharp sickle. Rev 14:15 And another angel came out of the temple, crying
with a loud voice to him that sat on the cloud, Thrust in thy sickle,
and reap: for the time is come for thee to reap; for the harvest of the
earth is ripe. Rev 14:16 And he that sat on the cloud thrust in his
sickle on the earth; and the earth was reaped. Rev 14:17 And another
angel came out of the temple which is in heaven, he also having a sharp
sickle. (KJV).
A. God has given us the Holy Spirit to have power to be His wittiness on
earth.
- Acts 1:8 (KJV) But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is
come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and
in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.
Jesus said in some of His last words to the church to all believers to
evangelize the world. Mark 16:15 (KJV)
And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to
every creature.
B. The harvest is ripe and ready and what are you going to do about it?
