FAITH OVERFLOWING
Here are the list of seven steps that we can grow into overflowing faith
that can work in our lives and then reach out to this sin-sick world
that needs Jesus.
I. We begin with NO FAITH. Mark 4:40 0 And he said unto them, Why
are ye so fearful? how is it that ye have no faith?
A. When we come to Christ and our spirits are born again God puts a
portion of His faith into us. For without faith we can not be saved.
Ephesians 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of
yourselves: it is the gift of God:
1. That portion can grow like a mustard seed and be great faith.
II. LITTLE FAITH. Matt. 8:26 26 And he saith unto them, Why are
ye fearful, O ye of little faith? Then he arose, and rebuked the winds
and the sea; and there was a great calm.
A. This is our next step in sailing life's seas with Jesus. We learn that
when there is a storm He does not get out of the boat. He never leaves
us or forsakes us. Matt. 28:20
1 . Little faith will bring your soul to heaven, but great faith
will bring heaven to your soul.
III. INCREASING FAITH. 2 Cor. 10:15 Not boasting of things
without our measure, that is, of other men's labours; but having hope,
when your faith is increased, ...........
A. Our day by day living and serving Christ builds experience and
experience hope and hope is like a breadbasket that holds faith. Bigger
the basket call hope the great the faith.
1. Faith has to do with things that are not seen and hope with
things that are not at hand. Thomas Aquinas.
IV. STRONG FAITH. Rom. 4:20 20 He staggered not at the promise of
God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God;
A. Faith destroys unbelief and fear.
V. GREAT FAITH Matt 15:28 28 Then Jesus answered and said unto
her, O woman, great is thy faith: be it unto thee even as thou wilt. And
her daughter was made whole from that very hour.
A. Great faith helps us to reach Mark 9:23 where all things are possible.
VI. FULL OF FAITH Acts 6:8 8 And Stephen, full of faith and
power, did great wonders and miracles among the people.
A. Growing full of faith causes you to share what Jesus means and what He
has done for you. You share your testimony to all who will receive and
desire that they would have the same that you have.
VII. RICH (or overflowing) IN FAITH. James 2:5 (KJV) 5 Hearken,
my beloved brethren, Hath not God chosen the poor of this world rich in
faith, and heirs of the kingdom which he hath promised to them that love
him?
A. Having the riches of this world does not give you overflowing faith.
It is the Holy Spirit working in us. John 6:38 He that believeth on me,
as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living
water.
1. The true, living faith, which the Holy Spirit instils into the
heart, simply cannot be idle. Martin Luther
- Luke 17:5 And the apostles said unto the Lord, Increase our faith. God
our Father has made all things depend on faith so that whoever has faith
will have everything, and whoever does not have faith will have nothing.

How do we increase our faith? Romans 10:17 So then faith cometh by
hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
