Corn of Wheat
(John 12:24
KJV) Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the
ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit,
25 He that loveth his life shall lose it; and he that hateth his life in this
world shall keep it unto life eternal. 26 If any man serve me, let him follow
me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serve me, him
will my Father honour.
Certain changes take place when the Corn is planted under the ground out of
sight.
I. The hard
dry shell SOFTENS.

Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering;
not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?

II. THE
STARCH TURNS TO SUGAR

glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all

And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our
hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.

How? God shows us His Love.
(1 John 4:9
KJV) In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent
his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.

We show God our love for him.
(1 John 5:3
KJV) For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his
commandments are not grievous.

We keep our selves sweet.
(Jude 1:21
KJV) Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord
Jesus Christ unto eternal life.
III. THE
CORN OF WHEAT OPENS--Open to God’s Word and Will in our Lives!
(Luke 8:15
KJV) But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart,
having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience.

Open to the leading of the Holy Spirit.

Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own
understanding.6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy

IV. The Corn
of Wheat buried then Gives
(Luke 6:38
KJV) Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and
shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the
same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.

V. The Corn
of Wheat then brings forth Fruit!

Conclusion:
We must also be willing to become as an corn of wheat and have our lives hid in
Christ. Let the world see Jesus living in us. Let our lights shine.
