CONDEMNATION!
John 8:10 When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the
woman, he said unto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath
no man condemned thee? 11 She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I
condemn thee: go, and sin no more. 12 Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the
world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall
have the light of life.
Many of God's people walk in condemnation when God not only has
provided victory but desires us to walk in life, peace and victory.
In this out line we share some of the promises God has given to His
people to help them overcome in their walk with Him.
I. THERE IS NONE IN CHRIST Romans 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
A. It is the devil that condemns us. B. He lies to us.
C. He brings up past sins that are under the blood.
II. HE WANTS OUR HEART CHANGED John 3:17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. A. The first way we overcome condemnation is to come to Christ and
receive Him as our personal Saviour. B. We then walk in His Word and His Word does not condemn us but
encourages us. 1 John 3:20 For if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart, and knoweth all things. . 1 John 3:21 Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward God.
A. A good conscience is the looking glass of heaven. B. Nothing is harder to bear than a guilty conscience. C. A quiet conscience sleeps during thunder and lightning. D. A guilty conscience needs no accusing. E. A bad conscience has a good memory.
F. Conscience and the Holy Spirit are the two great prosecutors of
the souls. G. A clear conscience can only be destroyed by its owner.
H. Conscience is that thing that hurts when everything else feels
good. I. Better to lose a good coat than a bad conscience. J. Conscience should always go to truth for instructions. K. My conscience has been taken captive by the Word of God, and to
go against conscience or Scripture is neither right nor safe. --

III. WE ARE FREE AS WE HEAR HIS WORD AND BELIEVE. John 5:24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word,
and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.
A. This is the great key to victory. B. We are saved to be free from sin and all of the power of sin. C. We will not come into condemnation as we hear, believe and act on
His Word.
IV. THE LORD IS OUR HELPER. Isaiah 50:9 Behold, the Lord GOD will help me; who is he that shall
condemn me? .... A. We do not walk alone. He is always there and He is our helper. B. My wife sings a song ʼWhere would I be without Jesus".
V. WE MUST BE LIKE HIM TO BE FREE FROM CONDEMNATION Luke 6:37 Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be
forgiven: A. Many people live in condemnation because they judge others and
are unforgiving. B. To be like Jesus we must learn to forgive C. Another reason is people have not learned to give of themselves. D. Jesus gave everything and remember the Kingdom of God principle
of: Luke 6:38 Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give
into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.
You need only ask at night before you go to bed, "What did I do to
Jesus today? What did I do for Jesus today? What did I do with Jesus
today?" You have only to look at your hands. This is the best
examination of conscience. -- Mother Teresa
