THREE THINGS GOD CAN NOT DO
God who created all things, yet there are three things God
cannot do.
I. GOD CANNOT
SIN,
- Heb 4:16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of
grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time
of need.
A. YET WE CAN SIN AND WE DO.
1. ALL HAVE SINNED. Romans 3:23 (KJV) For all have
sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
2. 1 John 1:8-9 (KJV) 8 If we say that we have no sin,
we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 9 If we
confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our
sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
B. Sin is like leprosy and it eats itself into your life to steal, kill
and destroy.
C. JESUS BECAME SIN FOR US. 2 Cor 5:21 For he hath made him to be sin for
us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of
God in him. Mark 15:34 And at the ninth hour Jesus cried with a
loud voice, saying, Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani? which is,
being interpreted, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?
II. GOD CAN
NOT LIE.
- Numbers 23:19 (KJV) God is not a man, that he should lie;
neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and
shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it
good? Titus 1:2 (KJV) In hope of eternal life, which God, that
cannot lie, promised before the world began;
A. WE CAN LIE BUT NOT GOD Romans 3:4 God forbid: yea, let God be true,
but every man a liar; as it is written,..........
III. GOD CAN
NOT CHANGE.
- Mal 3:6 For I am the LORD, I change not;............
- Heb. 13:8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for
ever.
A. GOD DOES THE SAME THINGS TODAY!
B. HIS WORD iS UNCHANGING!
- Psalms 119:89 Forever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven.
- Matt 24:35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not
pass away
