REPORT ON CHURCH #197 IN UKRAINE
Volume 57 #10

The fruit of the righteous is a tree of
life; and he that winneth souls is wise.
- Proverbs 11:30
Our prayer is “ Lord, make us wise!”
After 58 years of missionary evangelism our
passion is still for souls of men.
|
Charles Spurgeon said “If sinners be
damned, at least let them leap to Hell over our dead bodies. And if
they perish, let them perish with our arms wrapped about their
knees, imploring them to stay. If Hell must be filled, let it be
filled in the teeth of our exertions, and let not one go unwarned
and not prayed for.”

This should be our prayer. Lord, give me a
heart for souls as this. Let me cry out for souls and preach the
message of salvation until you call me home. I guess this is one
reason we have gone to the Nations for over 57 years with this
burning to win the lost in our bones for the lost and dying.
THE SUPREME TASK OF THE CHURCH STILL REMAINS
TO BE THE EVANGELIZATION OF THE WORLD.
There is nothing nearer to the heart of God
than soul-winning. Some of Jesus last words in Mark 16 before
ascending to heaven were “GO YE INTO ALL THE WORLD AND PREACH THE
GOSPEL.”
These are some of the dearest words to the
heart of God. Yet, even now the fire is still burning for the souls
of the lost. I cannot envision the greater Love and intense burning
in the heart of God.
Psalm 2:8 KJV Ask of me, and I shall give
thee the heathen for thy inheritance…

In the photo right is the project in Kobilyaki,
Poltava.
The picture is the building
we originally purchased which
they remodeled.
This is a new project in the same town.
The church purchased an older house and the
adjacent piece of land they are standing on.
The house is being used as a rehab center.
Pastor Sergey has plans to build a new church
building.

Rehab project in Kobilyaki, Poltava |
We receive a letter of appreciation from
Bishop Vasiliy and we are a integral part of the project.
“With
the help of Tony Abram and Abundant Life Crusades, Mike Brandebura
and the Western Slavic District, and other funds we gathered, we
were able to purchase the original (former school) building for the
church.
The building was slowly remodeled with your help and that of
others and more and more of it was utilized. We held many of our
Bible Schools here. Most of teachers stayed at the teachers quarters
there. The weekday church meetings, choir, worship team, youth
ministry and most of the weekly activities and regular pastoral
meetings were held here.
However, the large rooms at each end were
not large enough to accommodate the Sunday Services. These were held
in a rented facility in the central part of this region of the city
of Zaporizhia.
The church had been praying and seeking an existing
building, or lot to build on, in this more central area. As you may
recall, we found an existing building shell. The plan was to
purchase and remodel it. They were in contract negotiations for a
long period of time, and despite much effort they could not close on
the deal.
Several of us felt all along that they should build on the
grounds of the existing structure and finally this is what happened.
They have now been working very hard for several months, even the
children helping.
They have now been working very hard for
several months, even the children helping. They put in everything
they gathered and what you and others gave and have done a lot of
work.”

Some of the young men who had been traveling to
Europe for work had to stay home due to the pandemic and volunteered on
this major project.
The tent meetings and construction have been a
magnet attracting the neighbors and creating many evangelistic
opportunities.
Thank you for what you have done to make this
possible. As you can see the building is not finished.
We would like to close the building by winter. Let
us pray and, if possible, help as the Lord leads and provides.
The church and I would like to express our deep
gratitude for your generous support of Christ the Only Hope Church and
the building of our new sanctuary.
We thank God for you. Donations like yours make a
big difference and they has been a huge help for as we build this
expansion on to our church.
We could not build this sanctuary without your
support.
As the construction work continues, we plan to put
on the roof in just two months from now. |
|
We believe this new sanctuary
will be a place where many more people will be able to come to meet God,
have their lives changed, and be set free.
Together we are building
the Kingdom of God. God is doing an incredible miracle through you.
We
believe that God is the beginning and the end of this project. The best
is yet to come. We pray for you and your family in the Name of Jesus.
May God meet all of your needs according to the riches of his glory in
Christ Jesus.
Many blessings, Vasiliy Gedarevich,
Christ the Only Hope Church |
We have over the years received thanks and appreciation for what we have
done for the their ministries.
However, appreciation and thanks should
be first given to the Lord and then to you who pray and have given to
help them.
You are partners in this ministry of world evangelism
reaching the lost of many nations.
Our ministry has bought buildings and
converted them into local churches.
We have done this in the past 29
years in the former USSR (at present 197) plus the ones which we have
lost count of in Asia, Latin America and Africa. We have done this
mostly in villages and small towns.
Early prophecy given us when we were
young, was that in our latter days we would be ‘Dispensers of God’s
finances.’
The photos above show the progress of the new building
that we are helping along with a number of other ministries.
They are
working so that the building will be closed in before winter. They
cannot use the tent in the middle of winter in Ukraine.
We know that for
this to happen, the Lord of the Harvest has to provide the supply.
|
Our ministry has always been a work of faith.
God bless you and yours.
On behalf of souls, Your fellow gospel workers
Tony &
Marge Abram.
