Romans 5:8 But God commendeth his love
toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for
us.
John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. This is the best part: John 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: In the two photos to the left you will see bags of groceries and blankets. We have been providing blankets for $10.00 each and grocery bags of needed food for $5.00 each for the refuges in war torn Ukraine. |
|
We have so far provided 200 blankets and 500 bags of groceries for the refugees. We hope to do more to help these unfortunate people. Jesus said in Matthew 25:40 Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me. As you also know, we have planted many churches in the former USSR. Over half of them are in Ukraine and that is also true of the almost 200 buildings we have purchased these past 20 plus years in the former USSR. More than half of the buildings we have purchased for local churches have been in the Crimea and the Southeastern part of Ukraine where the war continues. Pray and continue reading... |

I have preached for years, that we, as believers and followers of Christ, are Givers of Hope in a world where many are hurt and have lost hope. When we share what Jesus Christ has done in our lives, we give others the hope that He can do the same in and for them. This hope precedes and leads to faith in Christ. Paul said, let us be "not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes..." Jesus Christ is The Answer to those who are seeking. He is The Savior to those who are lost. He is The Healer to those who are sick and afflicted. "He is the same yesterday, today and forever." |
His power has not changed. His love has not changed. His will has not changed. What He has done for others, He can and will do for you. He suffered and died for you and for the entire world. He has loved you with an everlasting love! |

Bishop Anatoliy from the Donetsk Region, the region that we hear on the news, where the war is raging, said that more than 20 church buildings were taken over by rebels. Some of the churches he oversees have gone underground due to persecution in the conflict zones. Many are fleeing due to the fear of war. His city, about 20 miles away from the city of Donetsk, has over 70,000 people. It has over 21,000 refugees, with many more daily going through and continuing on to other cities in Western Ukraine. As many as 400 refugees have been housed nightly at his local church. We have used his church building in the past for the School of Ministry. (You can see some of our ministry there in the Schools in the photos from a few years ago.) Night after night, people take shelter in basements during the shelling and when they come back out there is no home left standing to go back to. They flee with the clothes on their backs, sometimes in just robes and slippers. Many of the refugees are finding Christ. |
|
These people are not only given food, clothing, bedding, and a place to stay but also the message of the God's saving grace. They are prayed over. Bishop Anatoliy said that about 90% of those coming through his church are receiving Jesus Christ into their lives, one great thing happening in the midst of an evil war. We need to proclaim Christ with our words as well as with our deeds. People are suffering with hunger in the war zones. There are over a million displaced persons. They come to people like Bishop Anatoliy or Bishop Vasiliy for food and temporary lodging. People leave with what they can carry, sometimes just what they are wearing. |

Blankets for the needy and cold. |
As I have written, we have been providing blankets for $10.00 each and grocery bags of needed food for $5.00. The weather is improving so the blankets are less crucial now. Thousands have spent this past winter in tents, some crowded with up to 400 people sleeping in a tent. With the cost of groceries having recently doubled with the devalued local currency, food is becoming one of the biggest needs. People all over Ukraine are helping but they are exhausting the supplies in their pantries and they too are getting hit with high costs of food and transportation. |
We want to do all we can, while we can.
Please pray for them and for us.
God bless you and yours. On
behalf of souls,
