ARGENTINA MINISTRY REPORT
FROM CORDOBA AND BUENOS AIRES PROVINCES
Volume XXXXIII No. 1

This was our third mission trip to Argentina in only one year. We watched again as God moved by his Spirit with conviction upon sinners and backsliders, inspiring believers to put their faith in action and ministers to increase their vision to reap the harvest of this generation.

Our representative and associate evangelist to Latin America, Anatolio Rysko joined me. He did the groundwork for the ministry and also was my interpreter, being a dear friend since 1975 and fellow minister when we first met him in Pasados, Argentina.  He was pastor of a local church there when we came for a citywide crusade and the main host pastor.  Born in Paraguay of Ukrainian parents, he speaks 4 languages: Spanish, Ukrainian, English and Russian. He has been with us in Ukraine in the past and has coordinated and interpreted for us in some of our Argentina crusades.  He has a strong anointing on his ministry, especially when he has interpreted us.  He resides now in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.  When we met him in 1975, we were told that the largest evangelistic effort only drew crowds of 400 in the city of Pasados.

We had never been to this city of Argentina, the second largest after Buenos Aires. In 1978 we had some great open-air crusades in different parts of Argentina.

When doing one crusade in the far north of the country, the president of the minister’s association of Cordoba came. He had traveled, perhaps 2 days on the bus to get to us. He stated that we had to come to Cordoba to conduct a soul-winning crusade.

I asked him why we had to come? He handed me a letter from Evangelist T. L. Osborn. They had been trying to get him and his wife to come for a crusade there.

Brother Osborn wrote them, that they were unable to come but that Tony and Marge Abram were in the country and that they should get us to come as we had the same kind of ministry. I counted this a compliment, having worked and learned from T. L Osborn in my early ministry, I considered him a great man of God, a last day apostle to the nations. I told the brother that we could not come at that time but we promised that one day we would come in God’s time.

Little did I think it would be 27 years later.  However, we kept our promise.  We know that this was God’s time.  We had a special meeting with the Pastors, Leaders and Missionaries in Cordoba where I shared that the people God had given them were ‘tools’ to help them win the nation to Christ. God wanted to use all His people as they all have a ministry. We also discussed the possibilities of having mass crusades in the future as we did with the leading pastors of Buenos Aires.

We feel that we are God’s instruments and want to do what He has commissioned us to do.

We met two of the main leaders of the Christian work in Argentina, Pastor Belard, Pastor of one of the largest churches in Argentina in Cordoba, and Dr. Ruben Proietti, President of the Evangelical and Pentecostal Churches of Argentina.

We had good fellowship with these two men of God discussing nation wide outreaches in the near future and the need of revival.

Dr. Ruben is the President of all Evangelical and Pentecostal Churches in Argentina.

Joining us in Buenos Aires was Dr. Antonio Bolainez of McAllen, Texas. He was born in Nicaragua, Central America, studied in Israel and then moved to Texas.

His expertise in is the area of Israel Eschatology. He is a friend with the Embassy of Israel in Argentina.

We were invited there and met with, prayed for and visited with Mr. Modi Ephraim, the Under Secretary of the Embassy.

We prayed for Israel to be saved and for the Peace of Jerusalem. However, the best part of this mission trip was to see souls won to Christ.

Argentina Pastor rejoices!

This is still the greatest miracle that can happen! It brings great joy in the presence of God. Luke 15:10 Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth.  Our daily prayer for you and yours is that you would be blest with all spiritual, physical and material blessings.
