BOLDNESS!

I believe that the reason there is not more Christians sharing, testifying and winning souls is the lack of boldness. I came across this saying:
“God is the source of love; Christ is the proof of love; Service is the expression of love; Boldness is the outcome of love.”

We know that the Holy Spirit sheds the Love of God abroad in our hearts. Then there is no reason why we cannot shine for Jesus and do all we can to win the lost to Christ.

Here is a short outline how we may have more boldness for the Lord.

I. SPENDING TIME WITH JESUS.
A. Acts 4:13 Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus.
B. We spend time with Jesus in worship, prayer and in the Word.

II. When we share we may not be threaten, but there is the possibility of mocking, rejection and answering with false doctrine.
A. Acts 4:29 And now, Lord, behold their threatenings: and grant unto thy servants, that with all boldness they may speak thy word,
B. Ask God for the boldness you need to be a witness for Him.
C. Hid the Word in your heart.
- Psalm 119:11 Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.
D. Let the Word of God light your path.
- Psalm 119:105 Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.
  1. Some people change their ways when they see the light, others only when they feel the heat.

III. Most important everyday be filled with the Holy Ghost.
A. Acts 4:31 And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness.
B "May not a single moment of my life be spent outside the light, love and joy of God's presence and not a moment without the entire surrender of my self as a vessel for Him to fill full of His Spirit and His love." - Andrew Murray.
  1. The Holy Spirit is the one to lead, guide and help you share what God has given you, Your testimony.
  - Hebrews 10:19 Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus,
  2. Then on that final day we can repeat what John said in:
  -1 John 4:17 Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world.
3. This is an illustration by Adrian Rogers tells about the man who bragged that he had cut off the tail of a man-eating lion with his pocket knife. Asked why he hadn't cut off the lion's head, the man replied: "Someone had already done that."
